First of all, I appreciate God almighty for bringing me this far. It hasn’t been an easy road but He held me by the hand all the way.

Year 2017 for me has been a year of mixed feelings, ranging from heartbreaks to financial losses, to getting my ass kicked (**Laughs), to finding love again, to getting a new job and so many other events. Get a cup of coffee and relax as I take you through my life in 2017 on a monthly account. Like I said earlier, it’s been filled with mixed feelings as each month had either the good, the bad or the ugly to offer (Smiles**)

JANUARY

Hmmm, I started the year with so much anticipation. Believing God that all I couldn’t get in 2016 will come my way in 2017 but January told me to _shut the fk up_** (Laughs). Went to my place of work on that very day, the 15th day in the month of January, and was given a sack letter from my boss. According to him, I wasn’t the only one affected as the company was trying to downsize its workers as recession was beginning to hit the country hard. I forget to say, I am from Nigeria.
My dismissal from my place of work hit me like a tornado as I dint know what next to do with my life as finding a job over here is very difficult. So, I spent my January and a major part of February applying for various jobs.

FEBRUARY

MARCH

After applying for various jobs which was to no avail, I was introduced to PONZI (A platform which promised a 30% return of investment). At first this didn’t sound like a good idea to me because I was scared of losing the little money I was able to save from my previous place of work. After giving much thought to it, I decided to take the risk and that was how my mysterious journey with Ponzi started. Within the first three months of my introduction to Ponzi, I saw it as a saviour, I saw it as God sent, I was receiving my promised 30% and was able to sustain myself properly but I was soon disappointed, my so-called saviour (Ponzi) crashed in the month of June and I lost all my investments (#SAD)

APRIL

At this time, I was still enjoying the proceeds from Ponzi, so the month of April felt like a very good month to me as I could afford whatever I wanted knowing that I was gonna get another 30% by the beginning of the next month (May), not until I got a call, on the 24th day of the month of April, from a friend of mine who told me that my best friend had kicked the bucket. The month of April happened to be the saddest month of my year because I lost a very good friend, a friend who I had known since I was a child. He died on his way back from a trip. Eric died from a ghastly motor accident(#SAD)

MAY

My childhood friend, Eric, was buried on the 10th day of the month of May and this burial ceremony more like ruined the month of May for me as I spent virtually the whole of the month in sadness and tears. Nothing could make me happy, not even my best meal of friends. Would have really loved to show u pictures or a short video clip from the burial, but I lost my phone along my journey through 2017 and lost all the pictures and videos that captured the event.

JUNE

I recovered from the loss of my friend and got back to my feet but not long after that Ponzi crashed making me lose all my investments. Remember I told you that my year has been one with mixed feelings, do u believe me now? #LAUGHS .The crash of Ponzi gave birth to another period of sadness in my life.

JULY

Yeeaaaahhhh! The month I was born. Celebrated my birthday on the 2nd day of July, on my bed though (laughs). Also landed myself a new job as an Electrical Engineer and it seemed God had decided to look in my direction. The month of July went on smoothly and to my greatest surprise nothing bad happened. By the end of the month, I had to go given testimony in church. It was really a great month for me.

AUGUST

My girlfriend broke up with me on the 8th of August because I wasn’t ready to marry her at the time. She went on with a rich handsome guy who proposed marriage to her. Well I wished them good luck and continued with my life.

SEPTEMBER

I found love again but this time I was in love with a girl who was in a very serious relationship. She liked me so much too but told me in plain words that we couldn’t date and that she couldn’t cheat on her boyfriend for anything. I respected her for that and today we are best of friend. Here is a picture of her, be careful coz u might just fall in love too (#LAUGHS).

OCTOBER

I was enjoying my new-found friendship as being with her made me feel like I was in a relationship. She was very caring and I always wished I could have her all to myself but I knew I couldn’t.
The month of October wasn’t bad though, was basically same routine every day, going to work and coming back late. No regrets though, I am a workaholic.

NOVEMBER

Lost my phone to hoodlums at gun point. Was on my way back home that very night, on the 16th day of the month of November, when some hoodlums in very scary masks ran out of a dark corner a few miles from my home and asked me to give them my phone with a gun pointed to my head. They were four of them so I couldn’t even think of fighting back. They made away with my precious Samsung galaxy s4 and my wallet after giving me slight punches and a number of slaps (This is me getting my ass kicked). Lost my identification card and ATM cards as well so I spent the rest of November trying to retrieve the cards and make police reports

DECEMBER

Presently I am very excited. Got STEEMIT introduced to me just last week by a friend and life just got better for me. Haven’t really made much profit from steemit (You can check my blog @sistem to confirm) but I am still excited because steemit has given me the opportunity to express myself in writing. I have a passion for writing and finally I have a platform with allows me do just that.

This is how my year has been so far and I pray it ends in praise. I have embedded in this piece my achievements and failures and I hope you enjoyed reading.
