Man; A Prisoner to Technology

The advent of technology was to make life easier for man. Technology was for Man, not Man for technology.

The World is fast developing and these developments are to liberate man, not imprison man. They are to aid man, not cage man.

But the reverse is the case with most persons. Our phones and gadgets have taken over us rapidly. These items which were meant to be a part of life is now the real life as we depend wholly on them.

Individuals are control by thier phones, gadgets, infrastructures, etc. An individual can spend a whole day watching Tv, on the computer, with his/her phones and gadgets.

Two persons are physically present together but without communication. You are with a friend at a particular place but the person is connected to another person on the internet or social media.

An individual is walking on the street but his/her eyes are on the phone. People have been hit by vichicles because they were busy with their phones.

Individuals are disconnected with thier environment and existing realities due to the excessive use of gadgets.

A lady is in the kitchen cooking but her mind is on her phone, in offices, people are distracted from thier actual work because of thier gadgets. People are driving but thier attention is on thier phones.

These gadgets and phones are good however, we should have control over them. Let us not be slaves to them.
