9/14 ANDY HOFFMAN (CryptoGoldCentral.com): One Day, ALL Cryptocurrencies Will Be Private – And Those Using MimbleWimble, The Most Valuable

in #mwc5 years ago

Today, Bitcoin FUD pales in comparison to what it once was – as frankly, I see ZERO impediments to global adoption as a go-to store-of-value investment.

It won’t be “everything to everyone” – and likely, other “silver to Bitcoin’s gold” investments will succeed, too…like Bitcoin Rhodium. And it may not ever be a “transactional” or “reserve” currency – but rest assured, it will be far more valuable in the future, as millions of people seek to preserve purchasing power.

Prices move up and down – with this summer’s consolidation around the “New Hoffman Line” of $10,000 being particularly enigmatic and frustrating – but the fact is, Bitcoin WILL continue to grow, as the gold standard of the emerging Digital Age.

Still, FUD remains – though far more muted, given how infinitesimal the issues are…compared to say, the unknown prospect of a hard fork in 2017. One being, that governments won’t “allow” privacy coins – as if they can control global, open-sourced computer protocols, or prevent privacy coins from being created or used.

The fact is, that one way or another, ALL coins will ultimately have privacy features – with the most effective being those with MANDATORY privacy; and the SUPERIOR, SCALEABLE technology that today, ONLY MimbleWimble provides.

Bitcoin, too, will have privacy features – the only question being, WHICH ones. Fortunately, its store-of-value properties won’t be diminished if it doesn’t hard fork into MimbleWimble down the road – which right now, is the only way it could be incorporated. However, the upswelling of demand for privacy will grow stronger – particularly if governments and/or exchanges attempt to expose its lack of fungibility further.

Cryptocurrency is still new and novel – but in time, holders will want the best of its rapidly evolving features - and if Bitcoin doesn’t adapt them, coins like MWC will take market share; as unquestionably, to SOME people, privacy will be of paramount importance; and to others, a factor that will at the margin, influence their crypto investment decisions.

The MWC airdrop registration ended July 19th, with MainNet launch tentatively scheduled for November 11th, 2019, and claims on December 11th, 2019. A total of 148,474 Bitcoin registered – roughly 1% of the entire BTC float - yielding an MWC/BTC ratio of roughly 40.41.
