We are living in the last days. I strongly believe that we are that generation that will experience the rapture and the second coming of Jesus Christ. The bible says that just before the rapture takes place, the world will step into a season called perilous times.
But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self- control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. – 2 Timothy 3:1-5
The perilous times is a season when evil will increase in the world. It is also a season when the signs of the coming of Jesus will occur rapidly. And we see today, that the signs of the coming of Jesus (Matthew 24) are rapidly occurring in our days and the rate of evil in the world is alarming.
And because of this, the bible says that the love (Zeal) of many shall wax cold. That is to say, many will become lukewarm. Dear friends, search your heart, is your heart on fire for Jesus? Is your waxing cold? Are you becoming lukewarm? Do you still hunger for God?
Dear friends, we are living in the last days, the coming of Jesus is near. Now is the time to make Jesus your Lord and Saviour. This is the time to return back to your first love, now is the time to live for Jesus.
The coming of Jesus and the rapture is a once in a life time event, you and I cannot afford to miss it for any reason, we cannot afford to be left behind. Jesus is coming soon--- the rapture is near. Maranatha
Let us pray
Lord Jesus we thank you for your word to us today. We come before you today in repentance and ask you to forgive each one of us our sin. Lord we present our lives to you afresh as a living sacrifice. Purify our lives again, wash us with the blood of Jesus. Remove from our lives every spot and wrinkles, we ask for the grace to live in holiness. Above all, that we may be found righteous at the day of Jesus’s return. In Jesus Christ Name.

I am privileged to have attended a couple of wedding ceremonies, and each of these weddings that I have been to, there is something unique I have found out. I have noticed that the bride is always clothed with a white wedding gown without stain, without spot or wrinkles. I have also noticed that the wedding gown is always pure and clean.
And also, we all know that every wedding ceremony is properly prepared and planned for. In like manner, the Bible calls you and me the bride of Jesus Christ and we ought to prepare and plan for our coming wedding ceremony. All creation longs for that day when the wedding feast of Jesus will be fulfilled. As the wedding feast of Jesus draws nearer and nearer, God wants you and me to put on our wedding gown, a gown that is without spot or wrinkles.
Jesus teaching about this said;
“11.But when the king came in to see the guests, he saw a man there who did not have on a wedding garment. 12. So he said to him, friend, how did you come in here without a wedding garment? And he was speechless. Then the king said to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and cast him into outer darkness; there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Matthew 22:11-13”
From the above verse, we clearly see that God wants us to be ready for the wedding feast of Jesus. The wedding garment that Go requires us to put on is the works of righteousness.
“7.Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready”8. And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. Revelation 19: 7-8
Jesus is coming soon. It’s time to prepare, the wedding feast of Jesus is a once in a life time event. You cannot afford to miss it for any reason. It’s time to come before God in repentance, It’s time to return back to your first love, the days of being lukewarm are over, It’s time to live for Jesus .
Let us pray
Lord Jesus, I thank you for your word today, Lord I pray for forgiveness of sins, cleanse our lives with the blood of Jesus. Wash us that we may be without spot or wrinkles. Lord we want to be part of the wedding feast, we ask that you uphold us in righteousness. Let not one sin have dominion over us. And we ask for the grace to be prepared at all times in Jesus Christ Name. Amen.
