You Might Be Muslim If...

in #muslim6 years ago (edited)

If you truly believe in God and keep his commandments, chances are you are more similar to Muslims than you are different

The word Muslim means “one who submits in peace (to God)”
Do you fall in that classification?

The basic beliefs of Muslims (Islam) fall into six main categories, which are known as the "Articles of Faith":
-Faith in the unity of God
-Faith in angels
-Faith in prophets
-Faith in books of revelation
-Faith in an afterlife
-Faith in destiny/divine decree
If you relate to the articles mentioned above, then you are a believer in Islam.

As a Christian, are you still unsure of Islam?

Did you know “Allah” means “The God”?
Did you know Yeshua (Jesus) is mentioned by name in the Qur’an more than the Prophet Muhammad?
Did you know that the Muslims believe Christ will return to earth in the end times to restore peace and justice?
Did you know the Virgin Mary is more prevalent in the Qur’an than the New Testament, including an entire chapter dedicated to her?
Did you know the Qur’an commands Muslims to read the Gospels and the Torah?

For those quick to point fingers and say this or that about Islam, know that I am not saying it’s perfect

Yes, under RayEl, the Returned Christ’s rule even Islam will receive some corrections

In the New Kingdom, there will only be a single and united worship of God, but it will be with the things each faith has correct, and without the things each one got wrong

Sort:

Muslims don't believe that Jesus is God's son. They don't believe that Jesus died on the cross. They don't believe that He is God.

If you believe that all Jews should be murdered then you might be a Muslim.

If you think you have the right to beat your five wives then you might be a Muslim.

If you believe in female genital mutilation then you're definitely a Muslim.

Surah 5:69
Indeed, those who have believed [in Prophet Muhammad] and those [before Him] who were Jews or Sabeans or Christians - those [among them] who believed in Allah and the Last Day and did righteousness - no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve.

Islam is not perfect as he stated they do have some things wrong which is why we must work together to correct the things they do get wrong. Only through unity, faith and proof can we fully unite Islam together and we can fully correct all of the things that each Abrahamic faith gets wrong. Do not be soo quick to judge... Christ was also as much a Muslim as he was a Jew.

Not all Muslims want to kill Jews.

Muslims believe Yeshua is only a prophet, yes, when in reality He is the spiritual Son of God.
No, they don't believe that Christ Himself was crucified but rather He was brought up to Heaven by God and that another resembling Him was put on the cross to be crucified.

The Qur'an never mentions "that all Jews should be murdered."
Nor does it ever mention female genital mutilation or even male circumcision.

Finally, domestic violence occurs in many cultures and religions... it's a result of the time and setting. For example, 100 years ago husbands in America faced little to no legal repercussions for "correcting" their wives through physical punishment.

Did I not say Christ will eventually correct what the faiths got wrong?

What is Islam, but a path divinely portrayed between God and man, between man and God. Yet the true definition of Islam is something beyond what we commonly see in the world today.
Islam means submission to God. But does humanity truly submit to God? No, quite simply we can't, not unless we submit to a prophet that is alive and present to guide us today. Though we ask also, is that prophet who is a presumptive divine guide, also a being who is infallible? The chosen few may try to do their best, but as Yeshua said, "All fall short of the grace of God". Prophets are no exception to this.

True Muslims practice their faith under the pretense in the value of striving towards attaining Islam in their life, but it is an ever uphill and never ending path that cannot be otherwise contextually defined. Islam is beautiful, but we can only know it by coming closer to God, and not always reliant on what man limits us to comprehend.

It is amazing when you start to look beyond the differences you find that there are many similarities that corroborate each other in so many ways. Unity can achieve peace and so much more if one is willing to look beyond their own established absolutes.

It's to be expected that many people claiming a religion or affiliation will also become the face of that which they affiliate themselves as. It's also no secret that even the best of intentions can become distorted and devalued by such people thanks to their own failings.
