It does serve a purpose, making people pleased.
Because we have senses. Because we have preconceived ideas. Also because of our belief system. and the society we live in.
Because beauty gives us a "feel good" feeling. And beautiful from one's perspective is not the same as another's. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
It does because generally beauty represents healthy genes.
Thats a great answer so people who go trough plastic surgery in trying to fool us all??? Lol

This is as wrong as something can be. Healthy genes have nothing to do with beauty.
