Which is more dangerous to health?tobacco smoking or not smoking but working at night with less sleep at daytime?
Get your bloodwork done (HS-CRP by itself will be enough)
Start smoking if you don't and then, after a month, get your HS-CRP done again.
By the way, the HS-CRP is a very sensitive (hs = Highly sensitive) measure of the amount of inflammation in your body.
This shows us how much ROS you have going on.
ROS = Reactive Oxygen Species AKA "Free Radicals"
Contrary to popular belief, ROS/Free Radicals are not the bad guys that they are chalked up to be...all the time.
Your Body uses the levels of ROS as in idicator for your mitochondria to use to adjust their energy output and which of the 4 Citochromes (energy pathways) that it would be preferable to use to make that energy.
Anyway, you can then see where your smoking left you after a month.
Now, quit smoking and go and get a night job.
Work there for a month and do the test again.
The results will show which is worse.
