No I don't think so. The number one business for banks is the borrowing and lending of money and they basically have no replacement at least as of now. This particular service that banks provide, the business of holding money, borrowing and lending money is one which has relevance in just about every time and age. It doesn't matter what the currency is, it simply can't just go extinct.

The best thing that could happen is that banks as we know it will simply evolve and adapt to more recent trends in today's financial atmosphere. The blockchain and cryptocurrency for example is something that I'm sure in the coming years will not replace the banking system, but will be adopted by it.

Banks can only go extinct if all banks were extremely poorly managed and they run into several mis-management which affected the finance of the banks and made them all shut down,,but that is not feasible or realistic so i do not think and will never think that banks will go extinct in next ten years..

No, at least if you are talking about banks in general. Some bank companies might go bankrupt if it's a bad economy in the coming decade, but there's no way all banks will disappear within ten years from now. The first thing we need is a real replacement. People are believing that crypto will stop the entire banking business, but at this point blockchains are no where close to being good enough to replace banks. And I don't think they will become good enough during the next ten years either. What I do instead think will happen is that some banks might start having their own blockchains and coins.
