Are you married ? 

There is no rule mentioned anywhere, which guides how often you do sex, LOL. It all depends on the mutual understanding between both partners, and the physical desire also affect it to a great extent. 

For example, one of the partner may be active , where as the other may not have the same level of desire. So in that case, both has to honor each other and decide. I have seen some relationships, where one of the partner does not have much interest in sex, because of some other problems / diseases, and the other partner adjusting with the situation. 

Marriage is a great relation, where understanding and mutual respect has equal importance as sex. Especially, as your family grows, there will be many responsibilities , that may affect your sexual life. So a fine balance has to be derived that best works with each family.
