This is actually a subjective question because we cannot generalized "traits" from people. There can be a good mother and a bad one. There can also be a good father and a bad one. The reality is we have different character and personality.
So instead to choose from then, I guess being a responsible parent is the best "role-model" to our offspring.
Because choosing from them is kind of hard as they have done equally for most of the children.
Yeah sometimes it seems that Father's are doing all the hard work and Mother's are just staying home and taking care of the kids. But they both are doing their share of love and duties towards their children.
In most of the cases the conditions may differ but as most of the Parents do their best to give the best life possible to their children.
So in my point of View both the Mother and Father are the Role models for a child.

Hmmmmm. My father goes down to the pub and drinks pints . My mother does all the cleaning , ironing cooking and shopping.. it’s a tough one this !
