Racism is the prejudice and discrimination of other race with the believe that one race is superior to other race because of particular prejudiced features. Racism is the bedrock of the problems we are facing in the world right now and no matter the fight against racism, more racists seems to crop up daily.

You become a racist when you hate or dislike people of other race that are different from your race for no good reason. Not that they hurt you or anything but because they are just different, you become prejudiced against them.

The moment you see yourself hating on others from another tribe or race different from yours and generalising your hatred to every member of the other tribe or race, you've eventually become a racist without you knowing.

Irrespective of our physical and historical differences, we are meant to be at peace with every race and treat ourselves equally as humans because we are first regarded as humans before being regarded as members of our race. Unfortunately this doesn't happen. The whites regards the blacks as filth, the Chinese and Indians regards themselves as brown and yellow etc. But we lose sight of the fact that we are all humans.

Secondly, the family orientation and societal norms you were brought up with also goes a long way in shaping you to become a racist. If you are born in a society where other tribes and race are regarded as inferior as the case of england and America during the trans Saharan slave trade, you'd eventually be socialized into the mentality that you and your race are superior to other races. This might not entirely be your fault but that of the society and the socialization process you passed through.

My advice for you is that, the moment you see yourself haying on other races think of them not as members of a particular race but as humans.

Well racism is the backbone of a lot of problems facing the world today. It's a big deal and I think knowing what makes people feel their race is better than others can be traced to two things.

1) parentage: in a family, children tend to emulate their parents. They have no idea how they should act in certain situations and so copy what their parents do. It's very common to see kids making the same hand gestures as their parents or walking the same way. But it's not only positive things children learn. If a man or woman are racist and they openly display their disdain for other races in front of their children, then the kids will also become racist. They will have no idea that the hatred they feel for the other races is wrong and by the time they get to an age where people notice and try to correct them, it will be a founding part of their personality and as such will be hard to change.

2) some people believe that they are perfect. They believe that anything that varies from them is wrong and beneath them. This belief is also a foundation of racism. No person is better than the other. We are all equal but some believe that their skin colour or country of origin or hair colour is what should be and everything else is wrong. So once you do not conform to their standards, then you are below them and they are better than you. These are where the white supremacists fall under.

Anyone that hates other race for no reason is a racist. A person becomes a racist when he/she thinks that he/she or people that are same race with him/her are better than every other race out there. Such feeling usually create a superiority complex in such a person and makes him/her look down on other races.

Racism starts with a person's perception of other races. The moment a person starts thinking that his/her race is superior, that's the moment the person becomes a racist. Most racist are only acting out their perception of others. Parents also play a role in determining their kids view of other races. A racist parent will most likely raise a racist kid. Most people learn racism from their parents, while some otherd learn it from the society
