To put it simply, the prefrontal cortex is part of the frontal lobe. frontal lobe is one of the four lobes of the cerebral hemisphere. The others include the Occipital Lobe, parietal lobe and the temporal lobe. The frontal lobe is further divided into numerous functional areas which include the prefrontal cortex. The prefrontal cortex is responsible for emotions, concentration and other higher brain functions.
