RE: Musing Posts
The main purpose of getting a job is to earn money. Money that will be used to pay for monthly rents, utilities, pleasantries, food, etc.. If one has a stable source of money even without landing a job then most likely that money comes from his/her parents.
In the scenario above assuming that my parents have a decent and "stable" source of income and they don't mind sharing a portion of it to me, then I for one would choose a non-paying temporary job rather than to stay indoors doing absolutely nothing.
Even without a pay, one could improve his/her skills just by constantly doing well the temporary job. This also increases the chances of being scouted by other firms or companies if you start to make a name for yourself in that field. The establishment you are signing-up might even regularize you and start paying you handsomely for a job well done. All of which are not possible if you only stayed at home doing absolutely nothing.
However with the advancement of technology and even the increasing popularity of blogging and even the blockchain. If one is really serious about staying at home then he/she must explore this options. It's definitely much harder compared to working outside but given enough time it will really start to pay well.
