There are many platforms coming out in the near future which will be based on SMTs.   These platforms should operate in a similar fashion to Steemit. They will have their own token which is based on Steem.

Appics will be a mobile based platform.   In my opinion,  it looks like a cross between the mobile based version of Facebook and Instagram.

Onstellar is a site that is based around paranormal activity such as UFOs. It's a neat idea.

We also currently have Trybe,  a cryptocurrency blogging site which is based on EOS,  and Scorum,  a sports media blogging site.

I believe the end of this year and the beginning of next will see a great surge of sites that are similar to Steemit.  

Be prepared for some serious blogging!
