Well GOD FORBID your child become homosexuals and lesbians or that their parent succumb to such weakness that they are seen for what they are. A BIGOT.
I was defensive in response to your apparent negative and fearful stance, that some children may identify as homosexual later, as adults. I have edited (3 days later) in effort to respond in a more constructive way. These cases, when they occur, may be very challenging for everyone, depending on many factors. A child who grows up to be homosexual does so for reasons you will never know or understand. They are who they are and their sexuality does not define who they are. It may make life difficult. In some situations PROFOUNDLY difficult but this can fosters an inner fire and a strength that can take on far more adversity and ignorance that anything you stand for or manage to stir up.
Furthermore, it is not something to be ashamed of, despite whatever backward traditions may compel you to believe otherwise. The discrimination and prejudice faced by homosexuals can be and usually is profoundly damaging to individuals, families and society and it is attitudes such as the one revealed by your fear driven response that contribute to the continued bigotry we still see and those of us who are harmed by it, still suffer from. Ultimately, prejudice and intolerance harms everyone
