Steem is built with Proof-of-Brain consensus algorithm where rewards are determined by crowd wisdom. What's the value of the Steem Blockchain when one can vote themselves to get more steem?
It'll be akin using 1 dollar to buy 2 dollars without offering any form of value to justify that returns. What is the value of the money then?
In my opinion Linear Reward was a mistake.. No doubt it's the most "profitable" but it is hurting the ecosystem. The biggest industry on the Steem Blockchain isnt in creating good content that gets accepted anywhere else but is in the abuse of the reward pool.
I agree with @kevinwong's stand a few weeks back that a Superlinear Reward curve is necessary to create a form is diminished returns when a post gets too much undue attention by way of self-votes and vote-buyings.
Otherwise we are destroying the very thing that gives the Steem Blockchain any value.
When a user upvote his content when posting 100% of his curation reward wil goto the author i.e. the curator himself, and also will receive a bonus if others upvote. This is an unfair advantage to the author.
So in an update this curation reward of the author on his own content was made to go back to the reward pool.
Therefore upvoting own content is not very decent or an advantage.
I don’t see anything wrong in up voting yourself. Everyone has the right to promote his/ her post.
There are few people who joined this platform to earn some extra money. We have also noticed the when people don’t have large network they can’t get much up votes on their posts.
I think instead of criticize on self-voting the emphasis should be given towards quality of content. As a quality post always contribute towards the value addition of the platform.
Upvoting yourself in your steem blockchain is very good according to my view its shows you even like the post to read and you are making a best blogs and its shows your reputation also. Upvoting yourself in every post will increase your post to be in trending more and more audience will influence in your post.

Upvoting ourselves in the steem blockchain is not a wise decision to take especialllt if you really love the steemit platform and you wish well for
it,upvoting ourselves is not going to be good for the steemit platform so that is why we should all
ensure that we do not self-vote,now just imagine a situation whereby everyone on steemit is doing
self-vote withour upvoting each other,that will make steemit to become boring,it will make
