Making money on Steemit is encumbrant on some specific factors.

• Your level of effort.
• Your level of aptitude/ability. 
• How much people like your content.
• How much you engage with the community.
• Your level of understanding regarding the platform

To me, these are the most integral aspects regarding your level of success with Steemit, this is of course if you measure success entirely based on profitability.

Steemit is not for everyone. If you are only here to make money, and have none to add from your own pocket, sadly you will likely not be successful unless you have some amazing idea for a business model, with the qualifications to make it happen.
