Practitioners who use this type of machine claim that consumption of alkaline water can provide health benefits, but claims like this actually violate the principles of chemistry and physiology. Drinking alkaline water will not change body pH due to acid-base homeostasis. In addition, there is no medical research evidence that alkaline water has health benefits.
