Mathematicians are needed heavily in the game development department, mostly to balance the games
I have a younger sister who is a maths guru and the way she monetizes this knowledge include:
She organizes regular maths tutorials for people having difficulties with the subject and charges a fee for these lectures.
She also organizes maths quizzes for kids in her locality and gets eager parents to pay for this.
