Here's an interesting piece I spontaneously composed for this random contemporary dance warm up, which was an 11 bar phrase.
It's usually more difficult to make something that is musical when utility needs to be emphasized in parameters such as odd phrasing, tempo or transitions etc..

Between playing percussion, chords and melody, and in an odd phrase all while watching the dancers dance slightly out of unison, hahaha well...
if you're not relaxed trying to do this type of interdependence you're pretty much screwed lol.
I find the piano part interesting, what scale have you used?
