Slipknot - Bio & Discography Albums
Slipknot is a Nu Metal band, were formed in 1995 in Des Moines, IOWA, Slipknot members are also called by the numbers 0 to 8 and each also wear a mask, which they think is part of their personality, like an extension of their body. To explain it, all members of the group believe that wearing masks shows more about what they like inside and what music they do in it.
after some early personnel shifts, the nine-piece lineup settled around (in order from number zero to number eight):
- #0. Sid Wilson - DJ. He is in charge of the background noises and stuff. His mask is awesome, it is a skull with long hair
- #1. Joey Jordison - Drummer. He was born on April 26, 1975, and was the one who created the Slipknot "S" logo and thought of referring to their fans as "maggots." His mask is a white mask with goth make-up.
- #2. Paul Gray - Bassist. He is a co-founder of Slipknot and is half black
- #3. Chris Fehn - percussionist. He was born on February 24, 1974, and is considered to be the comedian of the group.
- #4. Jim Root - Guitarist. He was born on October 2, 1971, and was once a very shy person until he became part of Slipknot. The mask looks like Mike Myers' from "Halloween" but with a scar vertically
- #5. Craig Jones - Sample/Programmer. He was born in 1972, He used to be the band's guitarist but switched to samples and media stuff and his nickname is 133 MHz
- #6. Shawn Crahan - percussionist. He was born on September 24, 1969. He is the co-founder of Slipknot and was the one that originally thought of using masks to make them stand out.
- #7. Mick Thompson - Guitarist. He was born on November 3, 1973, and his mask is a metal one but with holes and has a face expression of anger.
- #8. Corey Taylor - vocals. He was born on December 8, 1973, and has fathered at least one baby. His baby's name is Griffin Parker Taylor, who is nicknamed "Itty Bitty Mouth".

really loved slipknot when i was yong, infact it was first metal band i started to listen
That's was nice.. i love slipknot too, but when joey out of the band makes me really sad .....
Why though? He had physical problems that made him unable to play to the best of his ability. Jay was a perfect replacement in my opinion and he is just as energetic. Btw what is your favorite Slipknot song? I have a few but i'd have to put Disasterpiece, Spit it Out and The Negative One in my top 3.
