One Ok Rock began to be widely known when one of his song. The Beginning became the soundtrack of the Rurouni Kenshin live action film in 2012, which won two awards at the MTV Video Music Awards Japan and Space Shower Music Video Award. Band One Ok Rock whose album was produced by John Feldmann, who also produces Panic! at the Disco, 5 Seconds of Summer,

As the vocalist of One Ok Rock, Taka (Takahiro Morita) is known for his distinctive voice that is high pitched and deep. He has exceptional vocal control and has applied in various vocal styles especially when displaying it on stage. The other band members say that he is the most reliable personnel.
Taka is in charge of writing lyrics and composing songs. He also often wrote lyrics in English even though he claimed to be not so fluent at first. Taka has a younger brother who also as vocalist Hiroki Moriuchi who is also the main vocalist of the band My First Story.
Besides the song The Beginning as the soundtrack of Rurouni Kenshin (2012), two of their songs also became the soundtrack of the continuation of the next action movie Rurouni Kenshin next. Song Mighty Long Fall / Decision as the soundtrack of Rurouni Kenshin: Kyoto Inferno (2014), and Heartache song as the soundtrack of Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends (2014).
