Musical Mood Of The Day: Mahavishnu Orchestra
Hey there! Today I'd like to share a couple of lines on one of the most exquisite jazz fusion bands ever, namely Mahavishnu Orchestra. Pioneering the very sub-genre of jazz fusion since its inception, this musical project assembled around frontman John McLaughlin in 1971 quickly grew into one of the most respectable bands in their niche as the early 1970s progressed.

Although multiple line-ups took place since the band was formed, Mahavishnu Orchestra's first mark composed of John McLaughlin (guitars), Jan Hammer (keyboards), Jerry Goodman (violin), Rick Laird (bass), and Billy Cobham (drums) has enjoyed most of the cult status the band has been receiving on behalf of many aspiring musicians and fans. Throughout their career, they managed to release a number of eight studio albums and two live albums throughout their career.
