I never brought my collection of cassettes with me when I moved to Malaysia over 10 years ago. So when I made the trip back this summer I went digging in some boxes, ordered a Cassette to USB device and started the process of converting.

"From The Vault" is a special release of beats I created back in 1994/1995 that appeared on the cassette in the logo. All of the tracks were created using my old Roland W30 and all loops were played live by yours truly. Most of the samples are either 12bit or 6bit depending on if I needed more than the allocated 7 seconds of sampling time.

In putting this all together i decided to try out a new Blockchain-based Music Platform called Choon. In doing so, I'm putting "From The Vault" up exclusively on Choon as a way to help get more people over to the platform as well as see how it all works!

Notes: Can't remember where we sampled these loops, but given the title of the track it was a collaboration between myself as a member of Cryptik Souls Crew and DJ Serious (who also became a member of the crew not long after).
