Tupiar Record Label - Beginnings
Hey guys, thanks for joining us on our 1st post on @Steemit - we hope to deliver goods.
Like every creative, we've started in this music business with only a few ideas and a lot of passion for underground music. As we soon find out - that wasn't enough ...
Tupiar Records started with a team of 3. As two of our former founders were DJs (Nice 'n Trik) and one a PR guy (Mihai), we knew a thing or two about music promotion and artist representation. Yet a music label was the 1st one for all of us - so we needed to learn - fast.

The first thing we did was creating our profile on social platforms like Soundcloud, Facebook, Google+ ... We've started to post our first podcast after we've managed to prepare the identity of the label. It was a success, people started to listen to it and the feedback was very good.
With only a few followers the name of the artists involved in the episode helped a lot in the beginning of the journey so we've used every advantage we had in order to get known.
We started to put ideas on paper and began acting on them consistently targeting our first BIG GOAL - to make our first vinyl.
As we soon found out that was no easy task. To prepare a vinyl was way out of our league back then. We had to prepare the music itself in such a good manner and to prepare a good catchy vinyl cover as well. On top of that, we needed to afford it in the first place and only then we were eligible to wait for the production and distribution of it.
So we started the journey of seeking knowledge in this industry and preparing our first digital release besides the original dream we had. Digital - as if on Beatport - was/is an easier task, yet not as easy as some think. This also involves distribution and manufacturing of the image and is a similar process to the vinyl creation I'd say.
Nevertheless, we've started the journey adding information to the label day by day and track by track we grew our portfolio and interest among the other underground labels.
