INTRODUCING LAUV

I have a new favourite artist, His name is lauv

One of his tracks easy love came on the TV yesterday and I fell in love. I carried out some research and here is what I found out.

Background
Real name: Ari Staprans Leff
Date of Birth: August 8th, 1994

He was born in San Francisco, a graduate of New York University where he majored in Music Technology.

Music Carreer
Lauv has been interested in music from an early age, talking violin and piano lessons before learning to learn the guitar at 11. At 14 he began writing love and breakup songs even though he had never been in a relationship. During his sophomore year at the University he started writing and producing for other accounts.

He adopted the stage name Lauv shortly after college, Latvian for 'lion' (lauva). This is a nod to his mother's heritage; his first name, Ari, meaning 'lion' in Hebrew; and to his own zodiac sign, Leo

Lauv released his debut EP in 2015, lost in the light, and supported Ed Sheeran on the Asian leg of his divide tour.

Leff will embark on his first world tour 'I Met You When I Was 18.' beginning January 18, 2018 in Seattle, Washington
