Ethnic Philippine Instrument - The Kubing (A type of jaw harp)
The kubing is an ethnic Philippine instrument made of bamboo, and is used by several tribes, more popularly with the Maranao, in the country, but also has presence in Indonesia.
There are several names for it but 'kubing' is the more well-known one. It is used as a means of recreation after a hard day's work, and also as a means of communication between family members.
There is no notated music for it as the music is improvised by the musician.
