There's a lot of music in the world, some people work really hard to make their own way and we are willing to help them in every way possible.

For this episode we've chosen "Wishing Wolf" from Northamptonshire, England.

Wishing Wolf started fully in March 2017, just bouncing a few musical ideas back and forth, and they began practicing on April. They wanted to breathe a bit of life into the older pop punk/emo generation with bands like The Used, My Chemical Romance, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, etc. They're heavily influenced by bands like that, and it is shown in their debut EP True Eyes.

I've been listening to both of their albums on Bandcamp and there are some very interesting sounds, specially in their EP called "True Eyes", where they decided to blend new age Pop Punk with elements of early 2000's Emo and Post Hardcore. This is really cool because it brings me back to those old days (damn 18 years already!). I must admit I haven't listened to this style in a long while but that's why this band was great to listen to, I had forgotten how much I like this! They really did achieve that blending, I can definitely feel the 2000's vibes all around and of course Pop Punk is obviusly there. What I like the most about it is that they not only achieved that, but also the quality is awesome and has that characteristic sound of Pop Punk/Emo/Post Hardcore music with their own touch in it.
I definitely recommend you take a listen!

Reminder:

Each wednesday we will be reviewing an indie band/artist from anywhere in the world. The idea is to cover every country there is, for now we've reviewed artists from Argentina, Venezuela, The Netherlands and England. So if you have some recommendations outside those countries please comment! (Just for now, we will repeat countries in later episodes of course)

All pictures of the band we used were taken from their facebook page and belong to them.

Cheers!
