In Oakland California July 5, 1970 a bay area Legend was born. He grew up in Vallejo California and hung out with his friends in the Country Club Crest neighborhood also known as the Crest. Born Andre Louis Hicks, and known as the Rapper Mac Dre, he changed the world of rap with his style of music. Always in the Cut with his Cut-throats the Crestside RompaRoom Gang. During one of Mac Dre's Concerts his friends had robbed a bank and Andre Hicks was arrested and served 5 years in Lompoc prison for refusing to squeal on his friends. In prison he achieved his G.E.D. and when he was released he started rapping again and the rest is history.
He also has a song with Big Lurch called "Fire".
