Some good ol' German Elektro Music
I am a big fan of good electronic music and while I have to admit that the French is at least on par and English Electro > German Electro - it is not even a competiton, but there are some gems in the scene that I want to share with you. They are old and many Germans might not even know about them:
Thomas Schumacher aka Elektrochemie LK
Being around for over 20 years by now, Thomas Schumacher is a legend within the scene. He has a very unique sound using weird noises in his music. The first track I heard by him was "When I rock" 1997.
I also like the neat strory telling in the music video essentially bashing record labels and the loneliness of stardom.
Thomas Schumacher never reached the peak he had in the late 90s again, but he is a source of a lot of good elektro until today, still touring around the world to entertain the people. I have yet to see him live, but I am a little scared because many djs tend to have a much harder style playing life.
Booka Shade
I don't know much about the Duo behind Booka Shade, just that they are from Berlin and make some really good music. Two of my favorite house tracks are by them.
There is a lot more in German Elektro, but these are two of the gems I wanted to talk about today. Have you any good German Elektro you want to share in the comments?
I am not a fan of elekro. I love metal. Is there a mix of those two?

Das Kassettendeck-Bild weckt Erinnerungen. Ich habe in den 90ern viel Techno gehört und bin in Clubs gegangen. Deutschen Elektro kenne ich jedoch nicht und überhaupt sind mir alle Namen entfallen von sämtlichen Interpreten oder DJs aus der Zeit. Einzig wirklich in Erinnerung blieben mir "Underworld" und.. ach ja, "Kruder & Dorfmeister" (das sind Deutsche, gell?)
Dann noch Green Velvet (ein Schwarzer aus Chicago glaub ich) und der Titel
"The phunk phenomena" - wenn ich die alten Kassetten noch hätte und die Songs abspielte, würden mir sicher noch viele andere wieder einfallen. Aber ich bin jetzt so weit weg & die Szene wurde mir nach und nach immer oberflächlicher. Doch schön ist es, wenn ich ans Tanzen denke und wie wenig ich mich da mit Sorgen beladen hatte. Bisschen Ego-Trip (bisschen viel sogar) war aber auch dabei.
Für mich sind das auch alte Zeiten auf die ich zurückblicke ;). Kruder & Dorfmeister hab ich auch mal ein zwei Sachen gehört, war ziemlich nice. Phunk Phenomena und Underworld kenne ich auch, wobei ich glaube, dass das selbst noch vor meiner Zeit war. Ich war noch ein Bub als die Dinger rauskamen.
Und ja, damals war das Leben noch sorgloser, deswegen erinner ich mich gern an die Zeit.
Oh mann, da liegen wir ja doch weniger altersmäßig beisammen als ich dachte. Ich fühl mich hier auf steemit manchmal wie n alter Knochen ;-)
Dafür sieht und merkt man Dir das nicht an ;). Hab ja auch mal ein zwei Sachen von Dir gelesen und hätte jetzt nicht gedacht, dass Du 15 Jahre älter bist, eher 5.

Booka Shade kannte ich noch nicht. Klingt aber ganz kernig. Wie findest du Anthony Rother?
Joa habe ich damals auch gehört, aber eigentlich nur den Track "father".
