I just can’t get enough. . .of steemit, check out this super young depeche mode classic! :)

I don’t know if you know this but my all time favourite band is depeche mode, don’t ask me why but they have always been on the pulse, edge, disruptive edge of being able to communicate the current trends and feelings or sentiment they have on the current world around them — because of this I’ve been a fan for over three decades I guess.

For me legacy and consistency is key, where you are from, what you believe, what you stand by are like gold. It’s the real currency in life, forget upvotes, resteems, cryptocurrency or even fiat. The real value we have between us is what we have done and how we did it, how we will be remembered not for being the richest person in the graveyard (props to my friend Jason now in Canada for that saying!)

I can’t get over how young the depeche look in that video, that must have been one of their earliest videos they did, fresh faced, ready to take on the music world and still today they are putting out hard hitting and gritty stuff, if you have not listened to any of their stuff I suggest grabbing a few albums, use your favourite go to music player to let it tell you what people listen to the most, violator is a good album and music for the masses if you really wanna go and grab something now.

Remember when checking your email used to be the first thing you did in the morning? Now it’s checking replies in steemit, it’s checking my wallet, checking the crypto prices, checking my feed to see if my virtual friends have posted anything new and awesome for me to read and be influenced by.

it’s literally the modern day BBS system of the future — you can keep your VR head tracking kit, still life in the old text, pictures and video for me and in the years to come, while I’ve got a super computer in my pocket I’m set.

Steem and the steemit blockchain has become something of a saviour this year for me in many levels — from mental health to financial and that realisation that pockets of people just like me exist in the wider world, steemfest 2 was an eye opener and a validation that this is an exciting community to be part of — I personally think it’s the best social media entry point to learn about crypto and blockchains just think back when you started on the platform and how much you have learned since?

and that’s why, new video project coming

I wanted to put together a little video for the new year, it might not be finished for the new year and I might not get any videos come in for it but look out for a project in the next few days that you can be part of, I think it’s about time we made a collaborative video about steemit impact.. .

Give me a bit of time to pull the spreadsheet and idea together, record a video and make an example video so you can take part.
