Song Review of Gliffo - Get The Sun In Your Head

If you listen to the song ‘Get the Sun in your Head’ by Gliffo you will most likely think that this artist has been writing hits for years, if not decades, but in fact this is a debut in every way - Even though it is hard to believe, Gliffo has never before written a song! However, this is what happens when you have a friend who happens to be a top music producer in Berlin. As the YouTube video description states: ‘Together they refined the melody and with many years of arrangement experience of the producer they worked out a catchy rock&/pop earworm, which not only goes well into the ear with a complementary house remix, but also gets you dancing.’

Personally I couldn’t agree more and I’m always on the hunt for uplifting, positive songs that spread a positive, optimistic message.

The song starts off with a multi-instrumental intro including keyboard, classical guitar, violin, electric guitar and perfectly sung vocals by singer Selin Akbaba who has the voice of an angel.

The first verse features a nice build-up with keyboards in the background as the main instrument and this track starts to rock as soon as the drums kick in, in combination with a distorted guitar and a very catchy bass line and this carries on throughout the entire song. What also strikes me is that this tune is a pleasure to listen to if you are into guitar music as it features many awesome guitar licks that give the song a slight bluesy feel which compliments the pop/rock feel.

This entire song is build around the line ‘Get the sun in your head’ and this is a message that I believe many people need to hear, especially when it is produced as well as this and every instrument is played to perfection.
