Influenced by giant musicians like Victor Wooten, Jaco Pastorius, Abraham Laboriel, Mark King, Tom Kennedy and Marcus Miller, From Kolkata (India) Mohini Dey started learning music from an early age of 3. She started gigging from the age of 11.
Legendary drummer Ranjit Barot of 4th Dimension (John Mclaughlin's Band) also featured her in his album Bada Boom, and made her a part of his band on MTV Unplugged.
She played with other Legendary musicians like guitar legend Guthrie Govan, Oscar winning composer A.R.Rahman, Ustad Zakir Hussain, Prasanna and many more great musicians.
