Hello Steemians,

This started like any other cold winters day , except on this day it was dry. I was up early as I didn't go out drinking the night before so I decided to film a little mission to a skate spot by me.

Skating in the cold is tough cause if you fall when you just getting warmed up , that will kill your session. Luckily besides a fall right at the end I got away unscathed.

The Song

I wrote this song after I had just completed my degree and walked into a fancy new job as business analyst . Eureka the system worked I studied hard and I would be getting my just rewards .

Bollox !!!!

It was a small company and it was just me and the owner working in a tiny office. The owner was completely insane and within the first week was shouting and swearing at me . Therefore by the third week I stood up shook his hand and quit.
What an amazing feeling of relief stifled only by fear and anxiety of what I was to do next .

This song was written while I was at home looking for a new job and digesting what had happened from secure new job to out on my ass. I came to the conclusion that I would find another job and no matter what I still had my dignity . If I was to delve deeper into the song I would say the chilled piano represent the large pockets of time when you not working . While the feedback guitar represents the ever present anxiety of not having money or a job.

Why song with this video?

It is because they both deal with creatively combating those empty pockets of time. When I walked out of the job and was unemployed I made the song. I am now working but recently single. I decided to go for an early morning skate and when looking for music to put to the skate I remembered this song of solitude
