Ableton Tutorial: Drum Rack

in #music8 years ago (edited)

Using the Drum Rack in Ableton Live

Pretty much ANY track made will use Drums.

The Drum Rack makes it easy to combine all of your drums into one location!

First you'll want to select Drums.

Then select the Drum Rack.

This will open a new track and interface to be able to build your drums in.

Now you want to drag and drop your sounds wherever you want inside the Drum Rack.

First we will select the Drum Hits.

Then we can start with a kick.

Find the ones that you like.. and drag it to the Drum Rack.

Now that you have a simple rack built.. You'll be able to start working inside the Drum Rack.

We can start off by adding a Kick to every 1/4 note on a 1/16 loop.

It will sound like this.

Then we can add the hi-hat.

Which will sound like this.

Then last we can add in a couple claps.

Here is what it all sounds like combined!

Now remember this is a simple one, and you can add as many sounds as you like inside the Drum Rack to make yours more complex.

You also can add other sounds as well not to mention more kicks, more hats, and anything else you want!

I hope this helps and thank you for checking out my post :D
