I want to share with you today another jamm we did ! We did this one in the jamm session of the 17th marsh. Once again it's pretty crazy, but at least it's very coherent !

When we improvise, the big challenge is to make the form and stay structured. When we play a jazz standard th form already preset. it's easy when you know how it work. The deal is that White Whales don't play standards ! Everything is original : The chords, the variations, the lyrics, the solos... and the form ! Whe never never know when who will play !

We use sign language for communicate while jamming, but it still primitive. So, we play a lot with this random size of our music and that's a wonderful experiment each time ! Sometime it's just too much crazy when we listen it back... ouch ! We don't feel it while jamming because we are with the adrenaline just playing forward. Some other time when listen back, it's like a real tune, wow !

This one, Line Up, sound like a real tune. The lyrics (mostly in French once again) talk about waiting in a Line Up for the cinema with everyone else. White, blue, red, green, black, yellow peoples... W don't car, we are all waiting the same !

I find the structure of this one very clear, but another big challenge is the solos ! It's my personal challenge because, as a saxophonist I'm a soloist ! Even if I don't play only for improvise, when come the time to show off I have to give 200% of my feelings ! It's all a spiritual training ! I'll love to write more about it !
