Sound Legion presents EDM producer Joshua Moreno - Original Song "Sometimes" Feat. Shavon Bonnie Legion
Sound Legion presents EDM producer Joshua Moreno. Joshua was a stumble upon lucky find, he did a remix from a vocal stem pack I had up on a song called "We All Fall Down" he rearranged the song beautifully with a nice Deep House Dance feel and re-named it "Sometimes". I absolutely fell in love with its catchy vibe and tone and had to include it on the Journey of a Songwriter Collective Album. Joshua is a talented force coming up in the musical production scene. Myself and Sound Legion look forward to working with Joshua more in the future.

Joshua Moreno
Bio: Joshua Moreno is a mixed-genre producer from one of a twin island located in the Caribbean named Trinidad and Tobago, usually known under the alias, “T&T.” Through out his life as a young adolescent growing up, music has always been a major involvement in Joshua’s life. As time progressed and the music industry began to rapidly expand it’s contents of genres and artists, Joshua developed an interest in becoming a Producer/DJ. He performed several local gigs at bars and small night clubs and grew his connections. He then met Matthew Charles and both formed the electronic duo, "EleChords." Joshua is still growing as an artist and doesn't plan to slow down until he has reached his goals and mission as a musician.
Producer Questions
1. Who are your top 3 favorite bands/artists of all time?
Ans: This is a tricky question because there are so many of them. But to make the list sweet and short, I would have to say Micheal Jackson is definitely a first for me. His versitility of sound and track arrangement is just, wow. Secondly would have to be Sade. I always get goosebumps when her smooth and luscious sounds resonate with my ears. It's like magic honestly. Last, but not least, the Gorillaz really introduced me to the ideology of the "electronica" concept of music. Their synchronization with digitalized sound and analog placements really made them a favourite of mine. So there you have it, my top three favourites.
2. Give us the Who, What, When, Where, Why and How's for your start into making music.
Ans: When I was younger, I never really considered music as something of major interest to me, until my early high school years, when rap music was the trend at the time. At some point I came across a hip-hop producer named Seba Jun (Nujabes, as his handle is infamously known). His tracks really gave me the inspirational boost I needed to start becoming curious about learning to produce music. Not shortly after, the electronic duo, DaftPunk started floating around my attention, especially when they collaborated with Kanye West in his hit single "Stronger." So I dug into their music and it was amazing. The electronic nature of their tracks was unique yet it reminded me of the golden age when synths and slap basses were the prime sounds for artists like Tears for Tears, ToTo and many more. As my interest developed in music and how it was done, I stumbled across a mixtape produced by Harley Streten (Flume, as he is famously known). From there, I think I just felt like I had to produce the ideas from my mind and share them with the world. I was introduced to Fruity Loops (as it was known at the time) but it was really more "sequential" than versatile for music production back then. I tried other DAWs (Digital Audio Workstations) but stayed loyal to FL Studio (as it's known presently) in the end and kinda took off from there.
3. Of all the tracks you have produced which is your favorite one and why?
Ans: Wow. Another tricky question. I would have to say "Sometimes", a track I had produced in collaboration with Bonnie Legion. Bonnie has a unique vision for songwriting and because of that, when I heard her vocal rendition for "Sometimes", it resonated with me. I was going through some really tough times at that period and hearing her lyrics really spoke into my soul. So I created the track with an environment that would suit the mood of her lyrics. Also, I am an 808 fanatic so when the song was done, I had spent many hours just replaying it. I always feel the same pull in my chest right before the hook and to me, that's when you know you made a good track, not a perfect track, but something really special.
4. What are your goals when it comes to making music?
Ans: Improvement. If it's one thing I have learnt is that improving as a musician is the key to mastering your craft. You can never truly learn everything and that applies just as equivalent with music and music production. There is always someone better. There is always something new to learn. That in itself to me, is the foundation to keep trying to be the best you can be. After improvement, I would say I want to be able to be in more live performances and really impact on an audience with my music.
5. If you could pick one super power what would it be and why? Name 3 big things you would do with this power as soon as you got it.
Ans: I love this question. I would like to be able to infinitely clone myself if I could. That way I can do a lot more things that I can't do as a single person. The three biggest things I would do with that power as soon as it was mine are to clone myself enough times to clean up the whole ocean, make duplicates of myself to spend more time with my family (cause my parents are seperated so it's kind of a hassle to be back and forth all the time) and I would definitely make enough clones to each write a different track or produce a different song when I am in my studio.
