Devil-May-Care is a Russian symphonic black metal band, founded in the city of Michurinsk by Scum (guitars), Diesel (bass) and Elf (vocals and keyboards). From 1999 till 2013 the band has released only two albums.

Кто бы мог подумать, что выражение Devil-May-Care означает не только что-то связанное с диаволом, но и нечто безбашенное, или наплевательское, или даже отважное... хотя и дьявольское тоже может означать, всё зависит от контекста. Ну а раз речь идет про black metal, то в контексте мы нисколько не сомневаемся.
Итак, в 1999 году, когда силы зла безраздельно властвовали над болотом над миром, в городе Мичуринске, что находится в Тамбовской области, была образована команда Devil-May-Care. Поначалу коллектив состоял всего из трех человек, это были Elf (клавиши, вокал), а также гитарист Scum и басист Diesel. Вскоре к группе примкнули еще два участника - гитарист Spawn и вокалистка Helen. Поиски ударника затянулись сильнее, долгое время группа обходилась без него.
Наконец в 2003 году изнурительные репетиции материализовались в виде дебютного альбома AWE, который не разочаровал ни публику, ни критиков. Несмотря на отличные отзывы в профильных изданиях, группу покидает один из ее основателей Scum с формулировкой "потеря мотивации". И тут начинается странное: с одной стороны, команда вроде бы на подъеме, проходят мощные выступления на лучших площадках, в телевизоре крутится клип (!!) на трек "Morrigan"... Но в то же время вслед за гитаристом коллектив начинают покидать и другие участники. Причины такого "тихого гниения" по сей день неизвестны, но очевидно, что они были достаточно серьезными. В итоге к 2007 году группа пребывала уже в таком депрессивном состоянии, что второй (и к сожалению, последний) релиз музыканты записывали, что называется, "своими силами".
