A taste of the classical music(一点古典乐的喜好)

Chinese music critics usually understand German music as three major categories: rationality, emotion and poetry. The typical examples are Johann Sebastian Bach ,Robert Schumann and Wilhelm Richard Wagner.

In fact, in my opinion, there is no doubt that Bach represents the rational music, as we can hear from all of his compositions. But the best emotional music should come from Beethoven, due to his works are dedicated to countesses or baronesses. Haha, just a joke. But truly, because of his personal experience, most of his works are full of passion, or even anger.

Poetry should be represented by Schumann, a Gemini musician. Not only because he is a poet, but also because of his piano suite Carnival Op.9 and Scenes from Childhood which are really gorgeous and poetic.

Wagner is a Gemini musician as well, however his works are mostly ambitious and rebellious. From his music, people can hear the life and death, love and desire, can hear the power, slavery and freedom. He pursues freedom and eternity. He is eccentric and desire to be loved and understood. Someone described his works as: powerful and gutsy, beyond the physical aesthetics and the fate.

I didn't listen to too much of Wagner' music, and I think his music is more like a drama rather than a theater. The Gotterdammerung in Der Ring des Nibelungen is my favorite but that's it.

Among all of them, I would recommend Bach if you are listening during work. Like programming? It helps to stay calm and to think:)

其实我觉得，巴赫代表理性毫无疑问，从大量的他的作品中可以窥探一二。然而情感应属贝多芬，他的作品都是献给这个伯爵夫人那个男爵夫人的，哈哈，开玩笑。不过他自身的经历尤其是后期的变故确实激发了他作品中的激情抗争甚至愤怒。

双子座的舒曼则代表诗意，不仅仅因为他本身就是一个诗人，而且他的钢琴套曲《狂欢节》和《童年情景》真的太斑斓，诗意得可爱！

瓦格纳也是双子座，但他的作品大多恢弘与叛逆，他的音乐可以听到生与死，爱与欲，可以听到权力，奴役和自由。他追求自由与永恒，离经叛道又渴望被爱被理解，有人这样形容他的作品：力量与意志，超越形而下的审美与直面命运的勇气。

听他的作品不多，感觉他的作品更像drama而非theater. 最喜欢《尼伯龙根的指环》，而其中，最爱这幕：《诸神的黄昏》

如果工作的时候想听点音乐（比如写程序？）我推荐巴赫的，有利于保持冷静和思考。
