The boards are up to add to your denial
They want to build a wall. But who wouldn’t? Mass immigration is a problem for a society that already has an overwhelming amount of internal problems. Failing infrastructure, rampant crime, a prison state, economic policies that only benefit the 1%. There’s no way the society can handle even more people requiring the aid of the state. It started with refugees. Then became mass migration. So, the answer was build a wall. But the wall is only a band-aid for a much larger problem. Why are there so many refugees? Why are there so many migrants? I think the answer to that is what the boards of the wall are trying to hide. Foreign policy denial.
