Wesseh Freeman is a self-thaught musician. He makes a living playing the guitar on the streets to provide for his family. He build his first guitar with whatever materials he could find. After being filmed his videos became viral and his life got a little better. There even was an Indiegogo campaign to raise funds for him to afford a house. The goal was to reach 70,000 $ but unfortunately the campaign managed to collect only about $1,000 in two months.

Let's take a look at the guitar.

A machete is used as a carving knife. It took him three days to build the guitar. He used nails as tuning pegs, old cables from a motor scooter and turned them into strings, coat hangers are used for frets and the body is made of oil can.

“The first time I played it, I pulled a crowd,” he told proudly. “And the second day, there was more people.” By the third day, he was earning enough to call himself the breadwinner. Freeman considers making an average of $4 a day a good job.
