Blast From The Past: Blondie - Rapture
It's been a while since my last Blast From The Past post, so today we go back in time before the art of Rap was popular. The year is 1980 and Blondie drop their funky tune Rapture. This was the time when Hip-hop culture started to go mainstream. New artists started to incorporate the newly formed street culture in their music, bringing something fresh to the table. I still consider Debbie's rap skills much better than most rappers have today. Maybe they should learn a thing or two from the rock diva.
Breakdancing, graffiti, wacky costumes, crazy hairstyles and the 80's, oh, what a time!
I can remember the crazy '80, the puffy hair and big shoulder pads ! Blondie was most popular here in Italy and every italian guy loved them :D
