This is great, loved that last doco - never thought of India having reggae, but doesn't mean I haven't HEARD it - just didn't imagine it as a movement of resistance, which is freaking awesome. We're huge reggae fans in this house.
Musically I prefer Ska (especially the Ska of the revival period of the 70s/80s) because of the brass and the faster speed and the proximity to Punk, but Reggae, being more mellow and love and peacey, might be more appropriate to facilitate political change in a country like India.
My formative years were influenced by bands like Specials, Madness, etc, so SKA! SKA! SKA! 😎
