It's one of the biggest electronic music festivals in Portugal held in the city of Viana do Castelo . This festival was considered the most sustainable festival in the country .

The population at the beginning of this festival began to look with suspicion, because it was unheard of a festival of these to be held in a city where its closing time was around 9 o'clock in the morning (not even the PSP itself - Public Security Police believed when he went there to ask for the festival's license).

However, this festival began to be increasingly appreciated by the local population (Viana do Castelo) and by the Portuguese themselves, who came from all over Portugal and Islands, as well as from the foreigners themselves (mostly from Spain).

The local population adhered in such a way to this event that there was not a single complaint of noise , because everyone was winning with this festival, trade won, restaurants, hotels etc ...

This year the Neopop festival is 13 years old.
