Musical and Lyrical brilliance at its peak | A review of 'Ire' by Adekunle Gold

Since it seems no one or very few people are interested in talking about this wonderful song, i'll be doing a review here.

See, forget the Nigerian music which has gone sour, we still have artists doing the do how it should be done. It use to pain somebody that people who are fated to be farmers or tailors have all made it in Nigerian music. Talk about CDQ, Terry G, Victor, Dammy Krane, and other stupid guys around here.

They have made it look like Nigerians don't think anymore. Even Olamide's reputation is only a result of his past works. Davido wey dey buy songs (as dey claim) and Wizkid, the only topnotch artist in Nigeria that actually knows music (you should know the meaning of topnotch before you come here and compare him with the gifted Brymo) is too obsessed with money that he can't even attach some sense to his songs. Lyrics: -99%.

'Ire' by Adekunle is just a musical masterpiece of the recent theme that trended on Facebook - 'Running', initiated by King Abimbola (By the way, expect something on that note). The world is always on a race that we often leave home believing we could burn our bridges since the other side always promises to be greener meanwhile the answers to our questions are right on our doorsteps back home, knocking each and every time.

That's why some people ended in Libya's slave trade then. I'm not accusing them of seeking survival how they knew best but i'm only saying that people still dey make am for Naija. People still dey make millions for here. & believe me, nothing is easy anywhere only that as someone once said; money cannot buy happiness but it's better crying in a Range Rover Sport than on a bike.

"The grass is greener when you water the grass, that's what i found when i took the ride // I realised the mountain i've been climbing is nothing but sands // I didn't know i already have the answers"

Those lines by Gold keep speaking volume everytime.

Seriously, we should all just calm down and think about what more we can do here to achieve our dreams and fulfill our potentials. You don't need to go to Lagos before you make it. Ondo and Osun people dey make am for their village. You don't need to go to U.I, Unilorin or OAU to make it. Moreso, U.I will only teach you how to be proud and you will go to hell fire. Very bad school. People wey dey Lautech still dey make am cos being a graduate at 45 isn't crime. You don't have to do Okada before you make your money. Keep maintaining your self employment in whatever you do. We have enough mad men on Nigerian roads already. Don't put your own join.

PS: Meanwhile, if you have visa that you're not using or that you won't be using cos i've changed your mind, kindly forward it to me. You know mama has always told me Nigeria is not my home?. Yes people like me should live in places with very cool weather.

Thank you.
