If I were to write one piece to describe the process to Steemit, what styles would everyone want?
I love to describe the process of making music, there are many many facets to it. If anyone has a request I am open to the challenge to make something unique with a genre, instrument, or even try to fake it!

Harmonica...the sound it produces, I feel its the most pleasant one. I am planning to learn to play it anytime soon.

Right now, I'm learning how to do mashups, so I'd enjoy a process post on that. I'm also interested in algorithmic and machine learning composition but I've barely scratched the surface there. I like the idea of combining styles in a way that doesn't delete the nuances of the individual styles (although it may transform them). For instance, I like the idea of combining a pop style with a classical style but most examples of this seem to oversimplify the classical style by imposing a strict tempo and lots of repetition of a few melodic phrases. I'm not sure how to get around this, but I'd like to think there is a way. That might be more of a music challenge post than a music process post. What kinds of music do you write? I've enjoyed your posts so far and I'd like to learn about your music creation process in general.

I am interested to combine those, the tough part is that classical composition is old world music, and pop music is new world. They have different rules that often constrict them. I think there are pop songs that could be adapted relatively well to the old world (stay with me - sam smith) since it has this rubato type of feel to the chord structure, maybe the orchestra could push the singer rather than the singer pulling the band.
Often the singer in the band is the star and therefore everyone follows them despite their rhythm changes, holding out notes longer, etc. Maybe altering the format to allow a classical sound to drive the piece could help that. But, it would be hugely tricky.

Hi @playitforward. I haven't done much with algorithmic or machine composition, but I'm learning python so I can eventually experiment in that direction. I did a mashup for the holidays (no programming involved) that's linked above. If you have time to listen, I'd love your feedback.
I appreciate your thoughts on the subject of classical/pop hybrid composition. It does seem like an immense challenge to do a hybrid well. I really like that idea/insight about how it might be done. What kind of music do you like to write? Is there somewhere online to listen to your work?
