Please recommend your favourite sad songs

I want to expand my musical universe and will make a series of posts asking for your recommendations on various genres, starting with sad songs.

I really like Lana Del Rey's retro noir sound, the lyrics of the Smiths and the Red House Painters, the abject misery of Anathema. Who else should I listen to?
