[ORIGINAL PODCAST] “NEVER HEARD OF" — OJB Jezreel

This is a new self-produced podcast which I will use to share about some very talented African musicians that have contributed greatly and positively to the African music industry. It is very unfortunate that sometimes the reward and the attention some artists get does not really measure up to their contribution and impact in their chosen art field. Some get more and some get less than they deserve. I will use this podcast as a medium and platform to bring to you those musicians that you should probably know but don't for some reasons. This is also my own little way of appreciating and supporting those musicians.

In this first episode, I bring to you Lagos-born Music Producer and singer Ojb Jezreel. Ojb passed away 2016 from a kidney failure. Ojb Jezreel was one of the music producers who brought about the renaissance in the Nigerian music industry. He produced 2face Idibia’s 2004 Face2face album that sold two million copies worldwide. Ojb has worked with countless Nigerian stars both from the old and new generation. I recommend you check out his biography and some of his works online.

This podcast is self-produced so I will label it low-fidelity, but I hope to improve the overall quality both in technicality and content as time goes by. I am using SoundCloud and and it is downloadable.
