A couple years ago I fell in love with an intoxicating and obscure mistress: Lo-Fi
My love affair with lo-fi and synthwave grew more and more intense over the last year. I spend hours scouring the internet for new genres that have the ability to give this nostalgic feeling - it is like a drug. Vaporwave, Synthwave, New Retro Wave, Outrun, Chillwave, Lo-Fi Jazz, Lo-Fi Hip-Hop Instrumentals, Trip-Hop, Downtempo etc. These genres have the magical ability to make anybody feel nostalgic over something they have no memory of. Not to mention the anti-stress capabilities, many of these playlists have the ability to carry one away from reality.
