FACEBOOK are STEALING music…FACT…

in #music6 years ago

In what has been a bad time for Facebook, we’ve received reports from a number of musicians who have said that when they post and share material deemed left-wing, Facebook are deliberately marking the content as ‘spam’ or locking the said users out of their accounts indefinitely. In many cases, users are faced with complex problem solving tasks to reactivate their accounts which they cannot complete and many face slow accounts or other tactics to prevent them from using Facebook to share legitimate content. This has affected potentially millions of legitimate users who find that they can’t access their accounts or use Facebook services properly. Effectively, their content is being STOLEN as they can’t log back in to remove content, music, media, videos, pictures etc. This theft of content by Facebook is a total disgrace and we’d thought we’d call them out on it. It cannot go on like this.

This has been reported to us over the last 3 years when Facebook decided to jump into bed with big advertisers and then decided to censor material deemed offensive to their Corporate pay masters to the detriment of ordinary and legitimate users. Fair enough, it is one thing taking money from Corporate giants, it is quite another deactivating accounts and effectively stealing media, music, pictures etc from legitimate users.

Unless Facebook faces up to the fact that in serving Corporate interests it is stealing content, media and music it won’t exist for much longer. Obviously, a much more robust alternative is the blockchain and platforms like MUSICOIN which have proven a hit among musicians wanting to earn a decent living producing music.
